Uptime Allies Launches FibreNest Tracker to Tell Residents When They Can Move to OFNL
A free postcode check and email alert lets households on FibreNest estates find out as soon as their estate is on the OFNL full fibre network, without having to keep checking
North Shields, UK — 5 October 2026 — Uptime Allies has launched a FibreNest tracker, a free tool that emails households on FibreNest estates as soon as their postcode is on the OFNL full fibre network, so they can move to services delivered over OFNL.
FibreNest estates are being brought onto the OFNL network one estate at a time, so neighbouring developments can move across at different times. Until now, residents had no simple way of knowing when their own estate was ready other than checking again and again. Uptime Allies already provides broadband over OFNL, and the tracker means residents are told as soon as they can move, without having to keep checking.
The tracker works in two ways. Residents can enter their postcode for an instant check against the OFNL network, and if their estate has already moved across they can go straight on to check their address and order. If it hasn't, they can leave their email address and postcode. Uptime Allies checks every registered postcode each morning, and as soon as at least one property in that postcode appears on the OFNL network, the resident receives a single email telling them they can now order.
The tool asks for as little information as possible. It asks for a postcode rather than a full address, sends only one email, and deletes the resident's details as soon as that email has been sent.
"If your estate is partway through a network move, you know a change is coming but not when, and the only way to find out is to keep checking," said James Creese, Technical Director at Uptime Allies. "We wanted to take that hassle away. Leave your postcode and we'll tell you as soon as your estate is ready, then delete your details. It's a small thing, but it's the kind of straightforward service we want to be known for."
